This is better, this is one piece original loveable episodes, if they ended the fight instantly they would fill the remaining frames with fillers, keep it like that is better.

Jimbei the hero we all need, doesn't drag out fights and gets straight back into the action. meanwhile Luffy should wake up next episode but won't be back in the fight for another 8 episodes after that.

Tekkai is basically COA but applied on the whole body, the thing is, back in the Ennies Lobby arc, Oda was still developing the haki concept...

Tekkai is physical training to harden the body. It doesn't allow you to bypass devil fruit defenses and touch their "true" body, and doesn't protect against attacks other than physical impacts (see: Jabra saying his tekkai didn't work at all against diable jambe), and tekkai users can't generally move while using it.
Haki is a physical manifestation of ambition/willpower, and doesn't have the limitations of tekkai.
